  CENTA FLEX (Rubber and plastic couplings)



Motive power is transmitted though a high elastic rubber. It is excellent in absorbing vibrations and shocks. Noise of machinery is also reduced. The rubber part is composed of a polygon rubber and aluminum insert inserted at the top, and each part is tightly attached by vulcanizing. Power transmission is accomplished by fixing the rubber body in the hub and flange hub in a radial direction and axial direction respectively by bolts. Especially for a radial directional coupling, a precompressed construction of deformed rubber body enables a power transmission excellent in flexibility and absorbing vibrations and shocks. Rubber parts are available in two types, bolt mounted type (O0) and bayonet mounted type (S0).

Motive power is transmitted through a polyester resin (Hytrel) that has elasticity like that of rubber. It is excellent in absorbing vibrations and shocks. It also excels in resistance to heat, low temperature and oil. Input and output can be connected and disconnected easily merely by moving axially. By using a unique claming mechanism (CENTA-LOCK), mounting in a spline shaft is possible. Hub and spline shafts are completely fixed by using a clamping hub of the CENTA-LOCK mechanism. No fretting wear is caused. (Clamping hub of the CENTA-LOC mechanism is available by special order.)

High-quality special plastic material (Zeitel) is used for the cushioning material. It is hard in a torsional direction and has excellent flexibility in bending and axial directions. The O2 type consisting of an element (cushioning material), cylindrical hub, flange hub and fixing bolts and OG type with two elements connected by a floating shaft are available. The OG type can be detached without moving the drive by removing axial bolts.

Elasticity-rich plastic (polyurethane or polyester) is used for the cushioning material as an element. It is excellent in absorbing vibrations and shocks during power transmission. Noise is also reduced. The CF-B-H type with polyester resin excels in resistance to heat and low temperature and has over twice the torsional rigidity of polyurethane resin. Due to the compact and simple design with an element between two hubs, mounting and dismounting are easy. Maintenance is easy as well.

The CENTAMAX is a coupling for engines. The elasticity-rich rubber transmits power and well absorbs vibrations and shocks. It is flexible in a torsional direction and downs a resonance point caused by torsional vibration to below engine low idling. It is short in an axial direction to save a space. It can be directly mounted in engine fly wheels compatible with SAE standard J620. Input and output can be connected and disconnected easily merely by moving axially. Maintenance is easy as well.

   SERVO FLEX  (Metal disk couplings)



The SFC model is a metal disk type coupling with lightweight and high-strength aluminum alloy used for the clamp hub. It has a high torsional rigidity and responsiveness. The SFC-SA2 with single element and ultrahigh rigidity and the SFC-DA2 with double elements and flexibility are available. Each type has a green design corresponding to the RoHS.

SFS SFH Model
The SFS and SFH model are metal disk type couplings. Carbon steel is used for the body material. Very high torsional rigidity assures accurate shaft rotation and ultra precision control. A single element type with high rigidity, double-element type with flexibility (two elements are used through a spacer plate) and floating type with a flange between double elements are available. Assembly finished or partly-finished product, frictional fastening or key fastening of shaft, or taper shaft correspondence is available for each type.

The SFM and SFF model are metal disk couplings with high precision and speed control developed for machine tools. The SFM model is designed for a main shaft of machine tool, and the SFF model is designed for a feed shaft of machine tool. For the SFM model, a centering mechanism is set for the pressure flange as well as flange part to respond to a high-precision mounting. To reduce a wind roar during high-speed rotation, the outer circumference of the plate spring is covered with a flange to reduce irregularities of shape. By the newly developed plate spring, both models have a class-leading torque transmission.

     HELI-CAL (Metal slit coupling)



It is an integral-structured metal coupling with a single spiral slit in the round material. A perfect integrated construction eliminates backlash. Maximum parallel offset 0.25mm and maximum angular misalignment 5deg. are allowed. The high-strength aluminum alloy material and alumite treated surface ensure a high-corrosion resistance. Two fastening methods can be selected, the set screw method (ARM model) and clamp method (ACRM model).


Normal torque 0.3Nm to 2.3Nm

It is an integral-structured metal coupling with a single spiral slit in the round material. A perfect integrated construction eliminates backlash. Maximum parallel offset 0.25mm and maximum angular misalignment 5deg. are allowed. Due to the stainless steel material, it can be used in any environment. Two fastening methods can be selected, the set screw method (3002M and 1441 models) and clamp method (3005M model).

It is an integral-structured metal coupling with two spiral slits in the round material. It has a higher torsional rigidity compared with the HELI-CAL A model with single spiral slit. A perfect integral construction eliminates backlash. Maximum parallel offset 0.15mm and maximum angular misalignment 3deg. are allowed. The high-strength aluminum alloy material and alumite treated surface ensure a high-corrosion resistance. Two fastening methods can be selected, the set screw method (DSR model) and clamp method (DSCR model).

     ETP Bushings (Shaft Lock)



Only one pressure screw allows easy and quick mounting and dismounting. A pressure medium sealed inside of the chamber is pressurized by fastening the pressure screw, and moves equally into the sleeve. By the pressurization of a pressure medium, the sleeve is pressured from inside to contract the shaft-sided sleeve and enlarge the hub-sided sleeve to fasten a shaft and hub through the sleeve. Since the ETP-TECHNO uses only one pressure screw to fasten, assembling time of equipment requiring a positioning can be substantially reduced. It is also useful for the place requiring a repetitive mounting and dismounting. Furthermore, a high-precision mounting and ultrahigh-precision positioning can be performed due to its excellent concentricity of 0.006mm. The standard ETP-T type is a steel specification.

The wedge effect is augmented by the inner sleeve groove to achieve high transmission torque. The Standard PSL-K is a steel specification.

They are simple-constructed couplings with cushioning rubber (nitrile rubber) between two hubs. The AL model is a lightweight and low inertial model using aluminum alloy for the hub material. The CL model has relatively higher allowable torque, using cast iron for the hub material and nickel plate for rust-proofing. Due to the simple construction inserting a spider in a hub, engaging and disengaging can be easily performed by moving the device in an axial direction. In addition, centering can be easily performed by applying a straight edge to the outer circumference of the hub. A simple construction achieves a low price.

It is a one-way clutch non-stage speed changer that is operable from zero rotation to maximum rotation instantaneously. Speed change is easy with the easy-to-move lever. The unique structure that transmits the rotation by the link and one-way clutch mechanisms is compact and lightweight, and a large speed change ratio at 1:12 can be taken. Also, there is no limit for the mounting direction. 3 sizes depending on the output shaft allowable torque and 2 types depending on the output shaft rotation direction are available.

Rotation Speed Indicators                                  

 By setting on a handle or shaft, a rotation speed can be specified. There are a "Weight type" with movable needle and "Differential type" with movable dial. It has high functions with artistic appearance.

 

Overload Protection Equipment

    Overload protection equipment protects machinery by disconnecting input and output during overloading instantaneously. It detects an overload reliably and disconnects input and output by detaching the drive key from the groove. When an overload is removed, they are connected automatically with the same torque and indexing position set previously. Torque is set by the built-in torque spring. No fine control is required. It can be also used with both two-shaft butting and wrapping as a flexible coupling. Drive key power transmission allows use in oil.

 

Liniar Motion

   Miki pulley's liniar motion products consist of very unique products, such as linear shaft drive and Rohlix. Linear shaft drive is a new cylinder model linear motor system which was designed to be driven by a most simple system. Rohlix converts rotational motion into linear motion by a lead of helix of six ball bearings installed in Rohlix at certain angles. Both are very unique Miki products.

 

 New Product 

        Starflex has a simple construction of two hubs with one element inside. There are 2 kinds of elements that are different in hardness, selectable according to misalignment and torque response. The material of element is Polyurethane Elastomer, that realized 2 times of torque comparing with our present jaw type coupling. No backlash is possible due to the pre-pressured design of element and hub. The hub is made of aluminum alloy, which has two types of connection, clump type or key type. Starflex passed our Green design criteria and adopts to RoHS instructive.
